Chishui Sidonggou Scenic Area Travel Guide

Many people are unfamiliar with Sidonggou Scenic Area in Chishui, Zunyi, Guizhou. In fact, it is a scenic spot with extremely beautiful natural scenery in Guizhou Province. Covered in green plants and blending with mountains and rivers, it’s breathtaking. This is the tour guide of Sidonggou Scenic Area in Chishui.

The trip starts from Maotai Town, Huairen, Zunyi. Of course, the "incentive" is the cheap air ticket from Harbin to Maotai Airport. I can't change my "greed" problem. There are two airports in Zunyi, which is very impressive. When I arrived in Chishui City, I stayed next to the Chishui Tourist Coach Station.

There is a shuttle bus to Sidonggou from Chishui Tourist Bus Station. Chishui has many attractions worth visiting. In addition to Sidonggou, there are also the Great Waterfall, Foguang Rock, Swallow Rock, Chishui Bamboo Forest Park, Callia National Nature Reserve, Bing'an Ancient Town, Datong Ancient Town, etc. in Chishui Danxia Tourist Area. A place where you can easily travel.

Take a shuttle bus from Chishui to Sidonggou Scenic Area, the fare is 6 yuan, and the shuttle bus stops at Datong Ancient Town. In fact, this bus does not belong to the bus station line, but is part of rural passenger transportation, which is very arbitrary. When you go out, be sure to ask questions. It will be very troublesome when you come back. Let’s talk about it later. Group tours and self-driving tours of Sidonggou Scenic Area are both good, but it is not convenient to travel independently.

Sidonggou was originally named Western Fujian and is commonly known as Sidonggou. It is 17 kilometers away from Chishui City, 5 kilometers away from Datong Town, and 4 kilometers away from the scenic river. There are 4 waterfalls with different feelings and spirits. There are nearly twenty mountain streams and springs in the valleys on both sides of the river, with flying pearls and jade, and the valley is surrounded by thousands of bamboos. This is a rare waterfall group.

Scenic area ticket hall. When I went there, the ticket price was 75 yuan for a battery car in the scenic area, 20 yuan for one way, and 30 yuan for both directions. Some friends said the tickets were too expensive. But I came all the way from Harbin. How could I not go?

Before entering the scenic spot, you have to walk through the "minefield". Nowadays, many tourist attractions will use this trick, or set up this kind of ecstasy at the exit or entrance, go around and sell "Yiwu small commodities". This is the first location.

Entering the scenic spot is not that easy. Free battery cars are provided here and transported to the ticket gate a few kilometers away. The gate far away from the core scenic spot seems to be the routine practice of domestic scenic spots, which is slot 2. Of course, today I enjoy the "VIP" treatment and always travel alone.

This is the ticket gate of the scenic spot. Nowadays, there is a big difference between the real entrance of popular scenic spots and the design of the ticket office of the scenic spot. What's the reason?

Attractions tour map. The tour route of the scenic spot is relatively clear, following the stream from beginning to end. The total journey is about 13 kilometers, 6.5 kilometers one way. The main attraction is the fourth waterfall in the middle of the stream. The road in the scenic area is gentle, but the whole journey is still a bit overwhelming. It is recommended to go hiking. On the return trip, take the battery car at the battery car pick-up point between the third hole and the fourth hole to return to the gate of the scenic spot. In this way, the entire walking distance can be controlled at about 8 kilometers, and the tour time can be controlled at about 3 hours.

After entering the ticket gate, there is a commercial street, which is also crowded in the off-season. Perhaps this commercial street was built for the benefit of local villagers?

This is the real door to the Sidonggou journey.

The air in the scenic spot is fresh, the stream is gurgling, the world seems to have stopped, and the only sounds in the ears are the sound of the stream and the melodious chirping of birds. The roads in the scenic area are gentle, making it an excellent place for hiking in the wild.

Here is a landscape painting, innate and natural, with bamboo as the main color and four hanging waterfalls evenly arranged, which not only makes the picture bright, but also gives the picture the beauty of flow and music.

Waterwheel landscape. A ditch of bamboos, a ditch of poems and paintings, a ditch of the elegance of time. It is known as: "The bamboos in the garden and Xiaojiabiyu are the most beautiful places."

There is a section of road here, and there is water on the rock walls along the way. I once thought this was the "Water Curtain Cave" in the scenic spot, so I took a lot of effort and took a lot of photos for fun.

A spectacular waterfall landscape unfolds in front of you. The waterfall is 37.5 meters wide and 31 meters high, and is as majestic as a silver screen, white gauze, and silk.

The three large scarlet characters of "Shuilian Cave" are carved on the cliff, making the waterfall even more spectacular and magical. You can climb the stairs from the side of the waterfall, walk inside the waterfall, and experience the wonder of the Water Curtain Cave.

The natural cave is hidden behind the waterfall. A stone path passes through the cave behind the waterfall, forming a wonderful "water curtain cave" landscape. Walking into the waterfall, there is even a "bonsai in the cave" that is breathtaking.

After passing through a hole in Shuiliandong Waterfall, there is a cruise ship "raft" dock with a ticket price of ten yuan. In the off-season, business is average.

Unexpectedly, someone was sitting on a bamboo raft and swimming in the ditch. It looked very "comfortable".

The "Two Cave" Moon Pond is right in front of you. The waterfall is 43 meters wide and 26 meters high. Seen from a distance, it looks as beautiful as a silver comb that bends downward.

Visitors can approach Moon Lake Falls from both sides. If you're brave, you can take a walk along the slippery path to the waterfall. Watch your step and keep your phone camera on.

The "Pot Cave" behind Yuehu Waterfall is also a major attraction. Potholes are circular caves formed by erosion of the river bed by sand and gravel carried in rapids. Bitan Lake in front of the waterfall looks like a full moon; Yadan behind the waterfall looks like a crescent moon. Especially at dawn, dusk and night, it is full of the charm of the moon.

The commercial service area between the second hole and the third hole is also the riding point for battery cars in the scenic area.

It was off-season when I went there, and there were basically no businesses. There are some comforts and inconveniences in the off season.

Continue walking and you will arrive at Sankong Feiwaya Waterfall, which is 26 meters high and 43 meters wide. At the top of the middle part of the waterfall cliff, due to water erosion and weathering, a frog-shaped boulder is formed, which is expected to jump down, which is lifelike.

Change the angle and zoom in to see the boulders on the top of the cliff of this waterfall. Does it look like a frog?

At the end of the scenic area is Bailongtan Waterfall, which is the largest waterfall among Sidonggou Waterfalls. The waterfall is 60 meters high and 23 meters wide. It sounded like thunder, filled with rain and fog, flying down. It's magnificent and exciting. Under the waterfall, dragons are tumbling in the "White Dragon Pool", flying beads are splashing jade, and silver light is shining.

The Bailongtan Waterfall can be viewed from both sides. There is water mist inside, and the scenery is spectacular, but it is incompatible with the photos, and the camera and mobile phone are easily damaged.

On the way back, we passed a "monument of merit and virtue" which read: This bridge was built by local villagers during the Xuantong period of the Qing Dynasty and cost about thirty-one taels of silver. In order to commemorate the good deeds of the villagers, this merit monument was specially built in September 1911 by Xuantong of the Qing Dynasty to commemorate and praise the virtues of the villagers at that time. Therefore, this bridge is also called "Leshan Bridge".

On the way back, I saw local villagers carrying bamboo in the scenic area, and the little donkeys carrying heavy loads hobbling forward on the muddy hillside after the rain. It was very thrilling and attracted many tourists to exclaim. During this trip to Zunyi, I gained a new understanding of bamboo. Bamboo has brought a series of bamboo attractions to Guizhou and can also bring benefits to local people. Bamboo can be used as building materials or bamboo shoots can be dug. It's full of treasures.

The long journey is finally over. When you arrive at the battery car boarding point between Cave 2 and Cave 3, it costs 20 yuan to go to the scenic spot ticket gate, and then take the free battery car back to the scenic spot ticket gate.

I bought a piece of silk candy to try along the way. Originally, business was slow in the off-season, so I only bought a small piece to try. Xiang Si Gan Tang is a Sichuan snack made from fresh Xiang Si Tang (sweet potato, we call it sweet potato here). Zunyi Chishui is closer to Chongqing than Zunyi, so it is not surprising that it is a specialty here.

Wait at the entrance of the scenic spot for the shuttle bus back to Chishui. I thought I would be able to wait for the bus in about half an hour, but after waiting for an hour and a half under the scorching sun, there was no sign of the bus. After finally getting into a car, the driver kept waiting and asked casually. I couldn't understand the dialect here, so I guessed the general meaning. It seemed that a friend asked him to pick up a few people at the scenic spot

After waiting in the car for another half an hour, it seemed that the tourists stopped riding before we could return to Chishui.
