This is not necessarily true. Sometimes, even in rainy days, due to evaporation, there is a lot of water vapor under the clouds, forming a large number of broken rain clouds. If these broken rain clouds are more and more and tend to gather on one floor, it doesn't mean that the weather will improve, but it means that it will rain, just a temporary stop of precipitation.

The cloud will move, and it will move with the moving direction (wind direction) of the air. After the rain, it generally means that this rain cloud has moved out of the local sky, and its impact on the local area is over. In a few cases, it is caused by rain clouds that dissipate in situ.
