Does it never snow in Taiwan Province Province?

In winter of 2004 and spring of 2005, very special weather appeared in subtropical Taiwan Province Province. From June 5, 2004+February to March 2005, there were six strong cold air activities in Taiwan Province Province, and several snows fell in many mountainous areas where it never snowed all the year round. For example, after the cold front crossed the border on February 19, 2005, the wet and cold air followed south, and the weather in the northern part of the central region turned rainy and the temperature dropped. On the morning of 20th, the fresh water had a low temperature of 5℃, while there was snowfall in Yangmingshan, He Huan, Yushan and northern mountainous areas, and the snow in Yushan reached 10 cm. On February 27 ~ 28, there was another Fengdu, from the mountainous areas of Taitung County and Pingtung County to the northern mountainous areas, with continuous rain and snow. What is even more amazing is that in early March, a rare "three companies in the snow" appeared from north to south in Taiwan Province Province. First, on March 2, the front crossed the border, and there were thunderstorms in many areas. Then the mainland cold air mass headed south, and heavy snow appeared in Yushan, Yangming Mountain, Lala Mountain, Taiping Mountain, Daxueshan Mountain, Lishan Mountain and Wuling Mountain. The snow in Yushan reached more than 1 meter. From the afternoon of the 4th to the early morning of the 5th, the snow situation in the mountainous area is even more amazing. The mountainous areas above 800 meters above sea level in more than a dozen towns are covered with heavy snow, showing a silver world. Even the area near Sun Moon Lake, which is 700 meters above sea level, snowed for the first time in 70 years. It has snowed 22 cm in Alishan, 168 cm in Yushan, and even in the mountainous area with an altitude of 2000 meters in the southernmost Pingtung County. Six strong cold air activities and snowfall caused serious cold damage to agriculture, horticulture and fisheries in Taipei. Because Taiwan Province Province is close to East Asia, it will snow in mountainous areas in the middle of winter and early spring under the influence of strong cold air activities and abundant water vapor. Looking through the Taiwan Province Provincial Records rebuilt by Liu Liangbi in Qing Dynasty, we can see the following records:

1. In the 22nd year of Kangxi (1683), it rained and snowed in winter and November (hereinafter referred to as the lunar calendar), and an inch of hard ice formed.

2. In the fifty-three years of Qianlong (1788), there was heavy rain and snow in fresh water in spring and February.

3. Twenty years of Jiaqing (18 15),

4. In the seventh year of Xianfeng (1857), heavy snow fell in fresh water.

It can be seen that in the fifty-three years of Qianlong, "three wonders in the snow" appeared in Taiwan Province Province. This year, it's just another one.
