Karamay belongs to northern Xinjiang. According to the geographical division, it is divided into northern Xinjiang and southern Xinjiang with Tianshan Mountain as the boundary. Karamay is located at the northern foot of Tianshan Mountain and belongs to the northern Xinjiang region. Located in the west of Junggar basin.
