China has many different kinds of climate. In southern China, the temperature changes little in summer and winter. But the climate in the north-central states is very different. In those countries, people wear light clothes in summer, and they need heavy wool or fur clothes in winter.

In the southwest, the climate is warm and pleasant in winter, but it is uncomfortably hot in summer.

In eastern China, the temperature in summer is quite different from that in winter. It is usually very hot in summer and very cold in winter. The temperature is warm and comfortable in spring and cool and pleasant in autumn.

A few years ago, people in cold areas of China didn't often eat fresh vegetables and fruits in winter. Today, however, trucks and trains quickly transport fruits and vegetables to all parts of China. In this way, people in China "send their letters" to people in other states.
