What are the geographical profiles of Guizhou?
Tourism resources: the natural landscape dominated by karst and waterfalls and colorful ethnic customs are the two major advantages of tourism resources in Guizhou Province. The total karst area in Guizhou is1.20 thousand square kilometers, accounting for more than 70% of the whole province's area, which is 1/4 of the subtropical karst area on the earth. There are Zhijin Cave, Guiyang Nanjiao Park (also known as underground park), Zhenning Rhino Cave, Anshun Dragon Palace, Xingyi Longfei Cave and Huangguoshu Scenic Area. Gypsum swords and rolling stones are even rarer in the world. In addition, many caves are famous for their ancient human sites or cave power stations and factories. Karst has also formed different types of stone forests, which are very spectacular. There are thousands of waterfalls in Baishui River, Dabang River, Baling River and Wangerhe River, among which Huangguoshu Waterfall ranks first in the country, and the steep slopes, dripping beaches and scouring pits nearby are also quite imposing. Hongfeng Lake in Guiyang, Huaxi and Weihe River in southeastern Guizhou are all famous for their wonderful scenery. Some of them have been listed as national key scenic spots. Rich and colorful ethnic customs are very attractive to tourism, such as Miao tourism, Yi song and dance, Dong road blocking songs, Buyi drinking songs and bronze drums. March 3rd, April 8th, Torch Festival, June 6th, and Dragon Boat Festival are all national-level events, with intoxicating songs and dances, dazzling costumes and amazing national architecture. Zunyi conference site and Loushanguan are important revolutionary memorial sites.
Local literature and art: All ethnic groups in Guizhou have their own folk songs and dances and rap arts. Guizhou Opera is a new kind of opera with local color, with dulcimer as the main accompaniment instrument, and the characters and costumes are integrated into the local national characteristics. There are two kinds of lanterns in Guizhou: lantern dance and lantern play, which have a strong local flavor. Others are Dong Opera and Buyi Opera.
Food culture: Guizhou cuisine is mainly spicy and fragrant, and Xiangling meatballs and hot and sour sea cucumber crispy rice are unique. The most popular local snacks are Wang Chang noodles, tofu balls, cakes, love tofu fruit, zunyi mutton powder, Bijie glutinous dumplings and Tongren mung bean powder.
