Changning, a county-level city in Hunan Province, is under the management of Hengyang City. It is located in the south of central Hunan Province, on the right bank of the middle reaches of Xiangjiang River, bordering leiyang city in the east, Guiyang County in Chenzhou City in the south, Qiyang County in Yongzhou City in the west and Xiangjiang River in the north. It is located at 26 07'-26 36' north latitude and112 07'-12 41'east longitude.
