The banks of the Xin'an River have always been a paradise of poetry and ancient charm. Although there are countless beautiful ancient villages on both sides of the river, the purpose of this trip is Xiaya. The trip is neither long nor short, it takes 4 hours to drive to Xia Ya.

It was evening, and the sunlight that was about to set seemed to have faded a lot. The riverside is green and clear, pure and soft. The weather still felt a bit hot just now. The cool breeze blowing by the riverside seems to bring people back from early summer to the very cool and comfortable late spring.

Xiaya has a rich history and culture. The Xin'an River flows eastward here, but is blocked by flat mountains and turns south. In the era when water transport was the mainstay, this was one of the main anchorage places for ships. Because it is located on the bank of the Xin'an River and under the flat mountains, taking the meaning of "Ya, the edge of the water" in "Yupian", the pier is called Xiaya, and it is also named as a village. As a place name, the earliest written record can be found in "Xiayapu" in the "Continued Review of Yanzhou Prefecture Chronicles·Jiande County Map" written by Wanli of the Ming Dynasty. The town is named after its residence.

Looking far into the distance, you can see the endless green mountains stretching leisurely at the end. Nearby is a clear river with a strip of water, with three or five white-walled farmhouses dotted among the green trees on the shore. As the sun sets in the west, the afterglow of the setting sun behind the green mountains shines onto the water, creating a golden light. The lush green hills and trees cast a layer of gorgeous twilight against the backdrop of the sunset. This situation is naturally reminiscent of the beautiful line in Bai Juyi's "Ode to the Dusk River": "A setting sun spreads over the water, half of the river is rustling and half of the river is red."

In the early morning of the next day, I was thinking about the strange fog in Xin'an River. It was just dawning. We went straight to the two tall ancient camphor trees on the river bank. The green trees on the embankment reflect the water, which is fresh and elegant, without any noise.

The dawn in Xin'anjiang is so quiet. Except for a few cicadas, frogs, and birds, you can almost hear the gentle swaying of reed leaves.

Waiting quietly by the river, several village women were busy doing laundry. The water is like a mirror, the scenery is like a dream, the breeze blows, and the mist on the lake rises with the wind, covering the farmhouses and green trees on both sides of the lake with a layer of gauze. Everything is hazy, like a piece of natural China. Mountain countryside ink painting.

In terms of scenery, Xiaya is just an ordinary landscape of Xin'an River, nothing too outstanding. However, the strange fog in Xiaya greatly surprised me. In the fog after the rain, everything in the world, mountains, forests, rivers and rivers are covered in a dense mist. It is beautiful if it is there or not, but it is common and not surprising after all. The strange fog in Xiaya is the fog of sunny days.

The secret behind this strange fog lies in the Xin'an River Reservoir. The river water released from the bottom of the Xin'an River Hydropower Station has a year-round water temperature of 14-17 degrees Celsius. The temperature difference between the river water and the air condenses into water vapor, inadvertently From time to time, unpredictable river fog is created on the Xiaya River downstream of the dam, especially in summer. The water in the river is cold in the morning and evening, and the temperature difference between it and the air is large. In the morning and evening, it is easy to cause clouds and fog on the river surface, forming the Xiaya River. Unique foggy landscape.

Standing under the trees on the bank and looking out, in the center of the river are white and soft mist, which looks like clouds but not clouds, like gauze but not gauze, hanging on the river surface close to the dark green crystal water. , slowly floating and spreading, and gradually gathered into a series of milky white and graceful fog curtains.

Song Dynasty poet Ge Changgeng's poem "Shui Village Fog" says: "The light green is still green, and the river wind blows like rain. The mountains rising from the water are like seeing a painting screen through a curtain." Although the morning mist is not as spectacular as snow or as lingering as rain, it shows endless grace and gentleness, leaving more space for people to express their true feelings, a poetic dream, and a lingering feeling like a painting. white.

The mist is sometimes thick and light, and the surrounding peaks, villages, woods, and water plants appear and disappear, just like a light ink painting. This painting is not static, as the fog changes, the painting is constantly changing. The villages, mountains, woods, embankments along the river... appear and disappear from time to time, truly like a fairyland, more like a cardamom girl, showing shyness in her hazy emotions.

The water surface is so calm that there are no ripples. The towering green mountains in the distance seem to fall into the gentle embrace of the vast misty waves on the river. The water surface is as ethereal as cicada wings in the morning light. It happens that there is a small boat in the river between Daishan and Daishan. A somewhat dazzling light penetrates through the mist and reflects on people's faces. The fishing boats drifting and squirming on the smoky river have gone away, but my thoughts are still immersed in the situation of "green bamboo hats, green coir raincoats, slanting wind and drizzle without returning", and I don't want to step out, I am so mesmerized.
