Weather changes bring three kinds of physical discomfort.

With the change of weather patterns such as storms, the change of air pressure will have an impact on the body, and some people are particularly sensitive to this impact. The American "Mother Nature Website" recently summarized three kinds of effects of air pressure change on human body.

1. Headache/migraine. Researchers at the Medical University of the Independent Society of Japan asked migraine sufferers to record the occurrence of headache within one year, and then compared these diaries with the changes of air pressure recorded by nearby weather stations, and found that low air pressure was directly related to the occurrence and duration of migraine. Migraine. Researchers point out that low air pressure can lead to a pressure difference between the atmosphere and the sinuses, which can lead to headaches or migraines. When the sinuses are congested or blocked, the problem will become more serious.

2. Joint pain. Researchers from Tufts New England Medical Center in England investigated 200 patients with knee osteoarthritis and found that the changes of air pressure and ambient temperature were related to the degree of knee pain. This may be due to the influence of air pressure on the viscosity of the liquid connecting the joint capsule, or it may trigger the pain response of the joint nerve endings. Anyway, when the storm comes, some people will feel joint pain.

3. Blood pressure changes. Blood pressure flows through the body through the heart and is influenced by the ambient air pressure. Bioclimatologists believe that when blood pressure drops, so does blood pressure. For some people, this may mean that they feel dizzy or have blurred vision. Blood vessels respond to sudden changes in environmental humidity, air pressure, cloud thickness or wind as well as to cold, while weather-related blood pressure changes are more common in people over 65 years old.
