How do prisoners in prison bathe in winter?

I was once sentenced to 10 years in prison, spent several years in prison, and was released early after commutation. After I was sentenced for breaking the law in Guangdong, I was sent to Shi Ping Prison in Lechang City, which is located at the junction of Hunan and Guangdong. It's still very cold in winter, and it's normal to have three or four degrees below zero.

How do prisoners bathe in prison in winter? At that time, we all used cold water, that is, the faucet was installed very high. If you turn on the tap, people will take a bath below. Because you are a prisoner, it is impossible for the state to specially boil hot water to bathe you, because men and women are separated in prison. As for the female prisoners who refuse to mend their ways, is it hot water? I don't know. I went to prison in the late 1990 s and came out in 2005. During my years in prison, the living conditions and environmental facilities in prison have changed, but they are the same as when we take a bath in winter. I stayed in it for almost seven years, every winter, taking a cold bath.

Of course, it is impossible for us to bathe in prison every day, and it is false to say that we are not afraid of freezing. But it's impossible for us prisoners not to take a shower for months in winter, right? In prison, except for legal holidays, you usually start working every day. After working for a few days, you will feel itchy. You must take a bath, even if it is cold water. In this way, we also persisted. Because you are a prisoner, you have no choice but to be reformed here.

Later, because of his good performance in reform, he was transferred to the logistics department and cooked for prisoners in the kitchen. At this time, I can use hot water for bathing at night. There are not many people in our kitchen, only 15 people, compared with 12 people when we were young. I need to cook for 1000 prisoners every day, and I must ensure that three meals a day are normal. We will go to the kitchen to start work at five o'clock every day. And send them to squadrons. It can be said that it is busy from morning till night, and the labor intensity is great. Every night, we prisoners will take a bath by ourselves, because we have this convenient condition, which is allowed by the cadres. After taking a bath, we will go back to prison and do the same job the next day.

After all, I am in a prison in the south, and I use cold water for bathing in winter, because our country is too big and there are many prisons. Are other prisons the same as the one I have been in? Take a bath in cold water? I don't know that either.

This question is actually known to many people, but few people are willing to answer it. Here I'll take a risk and give you an answer. If you are not satisfied, please add a spit.

The first thing to look at is where the prison is. Because of the allocation of funds and other reasons, the basic living security for criminals in prisons in different regions is different. For example, in the prison where the author works, each cell is a separate bathroom with hot water supply. Since there is hot water supply, there is no problem taking a bath in winter. Nothing more than taking a bath in an environment without heating and air conditioning. However, people who can take a bath here are not ordinary people and can tolerate it. In addition, it should be noted that there are people taking cold showers and swimming in the cold northeast. So it's no problem to take a hot bath indoors.

Secondly, there are many criminals in some places and funds are tight. There is no separate bathroom in the prison, but there is a special bathhouse. One year, I went to the northeast to visit my peers' prisons, which happened to be winter. There is heating in the big bathhouse in that prison, not to mention hot water.

I don't know if you know this. Bathing in prison is not much different from outside.

At present, there are hot baths in prison cities in China, whether in winter or summer.

There are also some prisons with slightly worse conditions. Although there is no special bathroom, prisoners can take a hot bath when taking a bath.

It is difficult for prisoners to take a bath, usually in detention centers or before agricultural transformation. Before 2005, there were many agricultural reform prisons in Liaoning, such as Kangping Prison, Panjin Prison and Yingkou Prison in Shenyang. These prisons used to be agricultural reforms. During their imprisonment, most prisoners planted rice fields and corn, and some prisoners engaged in infrastructure construction.

Later, after the national rule of law was gradually improved, those agricultural reforms were carried out in order to avoid the phenomenon of prisoners escaping from prison. Most prisons have undergone industrial transformation, that is, under the condition of not leaving the high walls of prisons, labor reform is carried out in prisons.

In the past, during the period of agricultural transformation, prisoners had already gone to work in summer, when it was almost dawn. At that time, prisoners were more tired than animals all day and had no mind to take a bath. And in that era of agricultural transformation, most prisoners slept in ordinary shops, lice were everywhere, and there was no rest time. At that time, it was really a labor camp!

Later, after the industrial transformation of all prisons in the country, the living environment of prisoners has been greatly improved, including the living environment of prisoners, which has made great progress. Since then, prisoners have the advantage of taking a bath every day.

At present, you can't take a hot bath except in some detention centers. In prison, bathing is basically unrestricted!

After five years in prison, let me give you an answer!

It depends on the prison. The prison where I was at that time was a prison in Heilongjiang. I bathe in the water room of the prison (dormitory) all the year round. Every prisoner can drink a pot of boiled water every day. Some prisoners can drink two bottles, one pot of water and one pot of bath from two thermos pots. Dormitories and water rooms have no dead angle surveillance cameras. Every prison has a collective bathing building, but only provincial leaders visit or organize prisoners to bathe once on the eve of the Spring Festival, and it rains at most once a year. Others can only be washed in the water room (bathroom).

Besides, there is no collective rain in the detention center, and one room 10 to 20 people can only wash in the tap water pipe in the house. However, the training team has the best accommodation and only washes in the water room. When you get to prison, the conditions will be much worse. Of course, some prisons are well built and may be relatively more humane.

Fortunately, I stayed in the detention center for more than two years. I also took a cold bath in winter, and a pot of tap water poured down, covered in white fog. Actually, just get used to it. Taking a cold bath is good for your health.

Don't worry, there are no separate public toilets in prisons and detention centers. Eat, drink and sleep, all in the same room. But the bath and bathroom are combined into one, with only one squat pit and a bath faucet. There is only one thin wall in the bathroom and bedroom (Datong Store)+a large and surprisingly transparent atomization glass-proof wall (very thin, fragile and toughened, of course, it won't break if you hit your head). You can see the condition of the bathroom where you sleep. There is no door (people can go in and out), and there is bad smell and peculiar smell, which cannot be isolated. Never consider 24-hour hot water supply. Not when you want to go to the toilet, wash your face and brush your teeth, drink water and use water. These are lost freedoms. You must abide by the rules. You must ask for or approve them. Suppose your room is closed for 20 people (generally, it can be closed for up to 30 people/room, which is the limit), then everyone must finish washing their faces, brushing their teeth and going to the toilet 1-2 minutes. Don't ask too late, you will be inked, and people will fly you away and affect others. I'm sorry I won't give you toilet paper if you don't make an appointment. The amount of toilet paper is only enough 1 time at a time, otherwise you can pull your pants or wipe them with your hands! Gross.

If you are imprisoned in winter, you must take a bath on the first day (regardless of season) and call to report for approval. Be sure to take a bath 1 time within three days, otherwise you will suffer and someone will "educate" you. Only cold water is supplied all year round. It is strange that the water output is larger than that at home. But also can not shift gears, and is rich in water resources.

There are no tables and chairs (no tables and stools), no candlelight and fairy tales in the cell. All the prisoners sit on the bed and eat. When you go in, line up the queue number and eating position (including plastic lunch boxes, no chopsticks, only soft plastic spoons, and suicide won't kill you), get up at the same time in the morning, fold all the beds within the specified time, and put them in a corner of a Datong shop uniformly. They must be as neat as the army, otherwise 20 quilts +20 mats will collapse. Make room for Datong to learn to sit and eat during the day.

You can't just sit back and wait. You must stand in the aisle (get out of bed) without permission. Sit on the bed, don't stagger, don't doze off unless you are sleeping. If you always violate the rules and affect the whole (this prison), you will suffer. Make sure you sleep in front of the toilet every day (there is no door), which is wet and smelly. Everyone will wake you up at night. You will be on duty for five days every week, and you will not be given a rest during the day. You will eat in the toilet, which is very sanitary. Whether you will be beaten or not depends on the location.

How do prisoners wash their faces and bathe? Look around? Forget it, it's too spicy!

The Prison Law stipulates that prisons should set up medical institutions and sanitary facilities, and establish a sanitary system for prisoners.

The medical care of criminals is included in the health and epidemic prevention plan of the prison area. Living facilities in the prison are complete, such as a hot water boiler, a public washroom and a toilet. The washroom is equipped with a washbasin and shower head, which is convenient for prisoners to wash and bathe daily.

The daily life of prisoners is regulated, and so is the internal hygiene of prisoners.

In addition to keeping prisoners' beds, lockers and other items clean and tidy, there are also special personnel responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of public places such as floors, corridors, toilets and bathrooms.

Manage the police to conduct daily inspections to ensure that the house is clean and tidy and meets the epidemic prevention requirements.

Of course, the prisoner's bathing facilities are not separate, but public. There is a row of shower heads in the bathroom, which take turns to take a shower.

In winter, the prison will use boiler equipment to centrally supply hot water for prisoners to take a bath through hot water pipes, which can ensure that each prisoner takes a hot bath at least once a week.

In some prisons, large-scale air energy water heaters are installed in each cell, and the supply time of bath water is staggered according to different floors.

Each prisoner will have a bathing card, and each card will have four bathing opportunities every month. If you want to take more baths, you can recharge your account.

The daily washing of prisoners is done in the bathroom, including washing face, brushing teeth, washing clothes and so on. In addition, the prison has built a clothes drying room on each floor of the prison, which is dedicated to drying prisoners' clothes.

Of course, if the weather is fine and coincides with the prisoner's rest day, you can also dry clothes and quilts in the prison yard.
