Why is the weather different between Liuzhou and Guilin?

There are several reasons.

First, compared with other cities in Guangxi, Guilin has a higher latitude, so it will be colder.

Second, the altitude of Guilin mountain area is relatively high, of which Maoershan is the highest peak in South China, and the temperature will be relatively low.

Third, Guilin is located in the Xiang-Gui Corridor. Xiang-Gui Corridor is a gap in Nanling Mountains. In winter, the cold air in the north will go south along these corridors, and Guilin will be wrapped in cold air when it is in the corridor, which will be very cold. Other places are blocked by peaks. If the cold air can't reach them, it won't be cold.
