How can teeth ache when they are hot and cold?

Toothache when it is cold or hot is generally a dentin sensitive state, which makes the teeth suffer from external stimuli, such as pain symptoms caused by temperature (cold, hot), chemicals (acid, sweet) and mechanical effects (friction, biting hard objects). Taking medicine has little effect.

For small and deep sensitive points, it can be used for filling or adjusting occlusion;

Desensitization treatment should be carried out on sensitive parts, and attention should be paid to checking and grinding the cusp with high occlusion;

When desensitizing the sensitive area of the tooth neck, attention should be paid to avoid the desensitizer burning the gums, and a non-corrosive desensitizer (such as 75% sodium fluoride glycerin paste) should be selected;

For many dentine hypersensitivity, especially the tooth neck, laser or direct current iontophoresis can be considered for desensitization;

If laser desensitization is ineffective or desensitization pain is obvious, especially those with severe wear, dental pulp treatment can be performed.

It is recommended to use anti-allergic toothpaste at ordinary times. If the sensitivity persists, you can see a doctor as soon as possible.
