Niushou Mountain is located in Jiangning District, a scenic spot in the southern suburbs of Nanjing. It is named after the two peaks on the top of the mountain are as prominent as the horns of tauren, and it is also called Niutou Mountain among the people. Niushou Mountain has beautiful natural scenery and is known as "the first cow in spring". With profound cultural background, it is the place where Yue Fei resisted gold and where Zheng He was buried. Buddhism and Zen culture have a long history, which is the origin and birthplace of China Zen Niutou Zen.

Design concept of core area of scenic spot:

The goal is to "create a new world Buddhist cultural heritage and reproduce a new landscape of contemporary architectural art". The main attractions are Foding Temple, Foding Tower, Foding Palace, Yuefei Anti-Gold Base, Cliff Stone Carving, Hongjue Temple Tower, Zhenghe Cultural Park, etc.

Geological features:

Niushou Mountain is a hilly area, composed of Mesozoic igneous rocks, with rich landforms. Niushoushan is mainly sandstone of Triassic Huang Ma Formation.

Climatic characteristics:

Niushou Mountain is a subtropical monsoon humid climate with a mild climate, with an annual average temperature of 15.7℃. The frost-free period is long, averaging 224 days; There is abundant rainfall, and the average annual precipitation is1072.9mm. It is rainy and hot in the same season, and the weather changes are complicated.

Natural resources:

There are seed plants 126 families in Niushoushan area, including 6 families of gymnosperms and 0/20 families of angiosperms. There are 3 families and more than 20 genera. Compositae ranks first, with 30 genera and 40 species; Followed by Gramineae, 29 genera and 37 species, Leguminosae, 26 genera and 39 species.
