It is the watershed between Cao'e River and Yongjiang River. The main peak, Huading Mountain, is located in the northeast of Tiantai County, with an altitude of 1,098 meters. It is composed of granite. There are many overhanging rocks, cliffs and waterfalls.

Tiantai Mountain is located in the central and eastern part of Zhejiang Province, at the intersection of Ningbo, Shaoxing, Jinhua and Wenzhou.
