What's the climate like in Wisconsin, especially Madison?

It is really cold in winter. Wisconsin is a ski resort. Winter lasts at least three months, and it is about-0/0 degrees below zero/kloc. This is the temperature during the day and at night. Winter is cold and dry, but Madison is also beautiful in summer. The city is built on a scenic lake. You can wear shorts and T-shirts. It takes about two months in summer. I'm not very sensitive to the weather. I didn't feel uncomfortable except that the cold current was as severe as MINUS 30 or 40 degrees last winter.
