Laurik Lake is located at the top of Laurik Mountain in the northwest of Dengfeng Mountain at the junction of helong city and Antu County, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, China. Since October every year, it has been covered with snow. The cold current from Siberia and the warm current from the North Sea of Japan meet here, and both want to cross the high pillow peak and overwhelm each other. These two cyclones stirred up and formed a thick snowfall front. Therefore, there is frequent snowfall in this area, with an average thickness of more than one meter, and the deepest part is three to five meters. The snow period lasts for 6-7 months. There are few people here, and all kinds of animals can be seen everywhere in the snow field. From time to time, there will be snow caves where animals live, breathing. In the long winter, pear-like snowflakes keep flying, big or small, dense or sparse, and thick snow flocs fall among lush branches, naturally forming various natural snow sculpture and magnificent rime landscape, which makes people feel like they are in the white world of Grimm's fairy tales.

Old Lake Rick is a seasonal lake, located at the top of the mountain. In the rainy season, the accumulated precipitation becomes a lake with a depth of 2-3 meters. In the dry season, the water surface falls back to 0.5- 1, showing a swamp state. Due to the influence of high altitude and cool climate, the ecological vegetation of Old Rick Lake is mostly in the form of alpine swamp wetland. The wormwood under the forest is mainly slender Ursula grass and various ferns, which are extremely lush. Precious blueberries grow on the tower head and chopping block by the lake, and are full of purple-blue berries in summer and autumn. There are tall and straight fir, spruce and purple shirts around the edge of the water surface, a small amount of larch and Chinese pine, white birch with brown bark, and maple with red leaves in autumn. The clear lake overflowed, gathered into numerous streams through the gaps between towers in the lower swamp in the northeast, and flowed into the moss-covered rock beach, becoming an underground river. People can't see the water, but they can hear the tinkling of the water under the thick moss. In this way, the water flows more than 800 meters underground, suddenly rushing out of the ground and converging into a swift stream, which is the source of the Hailan River. With Old Rick Mountain as the center, Zhenfeng Mountain, Shexiangtai, Laoyeling, Jiguanlazi, Shuifo Mountain and Xianfeng Mountain stand within 10 kilometers of Fiona Fang, Fiona Fang. However, due to the shelter of tall virgin forests, no peaks can be seen on the wetland. After thawing, people are more difficult to get close to because the ground is slippery. At this time, the animals that had been hiding for a winter began to become active. What roe deer, sika deer, mink, squirrel, and even black bear all use this short time to seize the opportunity to thrive, especially the migratory birds returning to the south, which makes the mountains more beautiful.

The mountain is rich in vegetation and belongs to the most diverse mixed forest belt. In early spring, when the snow and ice are still melting, Chinese fir will spit out new yellow buds, pine branches will send out new green branches, birch trees will open their snow-white chests, and all kinds of wild flowers will bloom on the tower head, which is a thriving scene. In midsummer, huge clouds gather here from time to time, splashing heavy rain. Under the abundant rain, trees are lush, cranes from the south swim leisurely on the lake, and wild ducks are constantly making noise. There are many edible pteridophytes, Osmunda japonica, Cantonese cuisine, monkey legs and so on. Growing under the forest, especially the horseshoe leaves with full and crisp leaves, clusters of them, some explorers actually sit inside. Early autumn is the most gorgeous and beautiful moment for old Rick. Under the green pine trees, there are delicate white and yellow-brown birch trees, sparse birch branches, bright yellow birch leaves, burning lux maple trees, brown crowns of Juglans mandshurica and pineapple, which constitute a huge colorful and endless picture of western oil painting.

The mountains around Old Rick are a little higher than the wetlands, with dense primitive trees and rich water vapor. In summer, the weather in the old Lake Lake is changeable, sometimes cloudy and sometimes sunny, sometimes windy and sometimes rainy. When the fog is thick, the rising fog covers everything with gauze, the peaks are hidden, the forest belt is hazy, and people are walking on a foggy sea. When the weather is gloomy, around the dark clouds, there is a tendency that "the dark clouds are pressing the city to destroy". If old Rick is detained at the bottom of the pot, it will suffocate his chest. When the mountain wind roared, the rolling clouds tore into oolong, the branches broke off the mountains and sobbed, and the pines burst like tigers whistling and apes crying, which made people feel cold and creepy; When it was raining cats and dogs, lightning tore the dark sky, and the huge thunder collapsed the cliff and shook the earth. Heavy rain falls from the sky, and the sky tends to fall. The stream rose sharply, pulling down the crossed branches, which was frightening. After the clouds and rain crossed in an instant, the sky was blue, the air was fresh, the lake was clear and quiet, and the reflection of the starlight trees floated by, which made people feel relaxed and happy. In summer, old Rick is like a little boy, willful and naughty.

Affected by the high altitude, winter comes early and goes late here, and it is already snowy in early October every year. The flying snow dulled in the warm and humid fog. When it meets the branches and tips of trees, it will adhere to the surrounding snow particles, freeze to the cold branches, and wrap it layer by layer, and finally form a piece of Qionghua Yushu wrapped in silver. This phenomenon is called snow hanging, and it also belongs to rime. The phenomenon of hanging snow is particularly prominent in the area of Old Rick Lake in Pioneer Forest Farm of Changbai Mountain. Snowflakes like giant cotton peaches became shy in the wet waxy air. They are all attached to sparse or dense branches and lie lazily on horizontal or vertical stumps. Soon, all kinds of white animals and naughty elves in Grimm's fairy tale world emerged from the dense virgin forest. They either cling to the tree or snuggle up to the branches. Or running in the bushes, or hanging on the branches; Some are in groups of three or five, and some are alone; Play, pat, meditate and sleep deeply, showing all kinds of lovely scenes.
