Bai Shou big screen
50 "longevity" characters, selected by three generations of imperial masters 17 ancient scholars inspired and warned. One hundred birthday words and articles were engraved on it by intaglio carving, and painted with gold powder. There is a "mother-of-pearl inlaid shell mirror", carved with natural shells into folk auspicious patterns and "Fu Lushou" Samsung. When you choose different angles, it will show different colors. It is said that when you see red, your career will flourish, when you see pink, you will have good luck, while yellow indicates that you will make a fortune.
It is said that this century-old screen was originally a gift prepared by Kong Xiangxi for Chiang Kai-shek, but it was too big and heavy to carry. This screen is made of walnut, completely tenon-mortise structure, without a nail. It is precious in many aspects, for example, 92 marbles are all wrapped in elephant bones, and 100 characters with different fonts are painted with gold powder. From a distance, it looks like a positive engraving, and from a close look, it looks like a negative engraving. Someone once thought of150 thousand dollars to buy this screen.
Qing palace national treasure gold locomotive clock
What is amazing is the gold locomotive clock, the national treasure of the Qing Dynasty, exhibited in the "Treasure Hall". It was a tribute from France to the Qing Dynasty. It is made of yellow, white and Ukrainian gold and weighs 84.50 Jin. It is inlaid with clocks and barometer, which can be wound along the track. This national treasure is the collateral for Empress Dowager Cixi to flee to An Road and borrow money from Cao family through Beixuan.
The golden locomotive clock has an extraordinary origin. It was originally a tribute from France to Emperor Qianlong and has been treasured in the palace. 1900, Eight-Nation Alliance captured Beijing, and Empress Dowager Cixi fled. The Cao family once lent her a huge sum of money, but after the Empress Dowager Cixi returned to Beijing, she didn't want to lose the royal family's "face" because of the government's repayment of the loan (perhaps, more likely, she couldn't afford it), so she gave this priceless treasure to the Cao family, which was regarded as repayment of the loan. It is made of yellow, white and black gold, with a platinum bell that automatically tells the time on the roof and a barometer that automatically predicts the weather changes in the middle. The front of the car will move back and forth regularly on the track made of black gold, like a pendulum. When the time comes, the white bell on the roof will ring by itself, which is accurate.
