The first modern ship on the Xisha route approved by Premier Zhou Enlai was seriously damaged and finally applied for scrapping auction. In the same year, a shipping company in Daishan, Zhejiang bought it and transformed it into a tourist boat. "Qiongsha 1" faded out of Hainan's sight, but it was deposited in Hainan's memory because of its special mission.

The weather between Hainan Island and Xisha Islands is constantly changing, the sea conditions are bad, and the ships are updated very quickly. Even the "ship of life" sometimes completes its mission. Huang said that the ship that entered the Xisha route was also named "Qiongsha" and compared with the shipbuilding drawings. For the convenience of distinction, the first "Qiongsha" is called "Qiongsha 1". Since then, there have been "Qiongsha II" and "Qiongsha III".
