20 15 can you see the perseid meteor shower in Anhui province?

Meteor shower is very regional, and a meteor shower can be observed at least half of the earth. Take the Perseid meteor shower as an example, as long as it is north of the Tropic of Capricorn. Even the extreme point can be said that as long as the landlord has heard of the meteor shower with that name, it can be observed all over China. Of course, those who can convince counterexamples, such as Alpha Centauri meteor shower and η tail meteor shower, are definitely experienced enthusiasts.

The meteor shower lasts for a long time. Perseus lasts from late July to late August, during which meteors belonging to Perseus meteor group can be observed. For example, on the evening of July 28-29, 2007, when I was observing the Delta meteor shower in South Aquarius, I observed a meteor in the group.

At the beginning or the end of the meteor group, the flow is relatively small, which is not suitable for the purpose of watching the fun. Generally speaking, it is most valuable to observe meteor showers at some time around the peak period. Fortunately, the peak of Perseid meteor shower is relatively flat, and the flow can last for more than 24 hours for more than half of the time. Plus a few times, it can reach 48 hours or even longer. By the way, I forgot to mention that the peak of Perseid meteor shower is usually in August 12 or 13. In short, it is not a big problem to postpone it for two or three days in advance.

Why do you want to leave a margin, the weather! If the weather is bad, naturally nothing can be seen.

Maybe the landlord will wonder, you said a long paragraph, but you still didn't tell me the answer I wanted. Is there brightness, speed, duration and color in the time, place and direction of the meteor? Sorry, this is beyond the current technical level. Because the parent meteoroid of a meteor is too small to be observed before entering the atmosphere (a meteor with medium brightness is only the size of a mung bean). So at present, we can only judge the overall intensity of meteor shower correctly, but we can't do anything about individual meteors. If the landlord is lucky enough to solve this problem one day, he will definitely win the Nobel Prize, because the greater significance lies in solving the risk of small celestial bodies hitting the earth once and for all.

By the way, the observation time of Perseid meteor shower is in the middle of the night (especially in bold red). There will never be another meteor in the group before the radiant point of the meteor shower rises. So this is why Perseus is often criticized every year, but Gemini is rare. Because the Gemini radiation point is above the horizon all night, but Yingxian is not (of course, there is another important reason, and the proportion of people who can see the sky in the cold wind in December will be much smaller).

Give the landlord a general mathematical expectation. If you come to the suburbs, the sky is full of stars, and the Milky Way is across the sky (the limit magnitude is above 5.5), there is no pressure to brush three-digit meteors in the middle of the night with the extremely high flow of Perseus. Even in the city, there are many stars (about 100, which can adapt to the darkness with the naked eye, and Shanghai can have such conditions), and Yingxian can brush the flow to double digits. If the weather is really not beautiful and there are no more than ten stars in the sky, you'd better give up. There is no need to die tonight, even if it takes five days to wait for a sunny night.
