Nantou is a district of Zhongshan City.
Nantou Town is located in the south of the Pearl River Delta, north of Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, and in the southwest of the Pearl River Delta. It borders Huangpu Town to the east and southeast, and is separated from Dongfeng Town and Dongfeng Town by the Ji Crow Waterway to the west and southwest. Fusha Town faces each other, and is adjacent to Ronggui Street in Shunde District in the north. It is close to the Pearl River Estuary and adjacent to Hong Kong and Macau.
As of 2005, Nantou Town has jurisdiction over 1 community and 6 villages; namely: 1 community in Nantou Community; Nancheng Village, Min'an Village, Jiangjun Village, Jiaoxin Village, Suixi Village, Beidi Village 6 villages. Government Office No. 1, Nantou Avenue Central.
Nantou belongs to the northern plain area (marine alluvial plain) of Zhongshan City. The terrain is flat, with an altitude of less than 2 meters. Distinguished by altitude and formation age, it belongs to the northern base water area.
Nantou Town is located in the Pearl River Delta. Affected by ocean air currents, it has a subtropical monsoon climate, with long summers and short springs and autumns. The summers are hot and rainfall is abundant, the winters are cool and dry, there is no severe cold weather, and the average annual sunshine is 1,797 hours. The highest annual average temperature is 22.6 degrees, the lowest is 21.2 degrees, and the average temperature is 21.9 degrees.
Zhongshan City is one of the five prefecture-level cities in China that does not have municipal districts. It was formerly known as Xiangshan County established in 1152; in 1925, it was renamed Zhongshan County in memory of Sun Yat-sen. Zhongshan is a national historical and cultural city. The Xiangshan culture originated in Zhongshan is an important source of modern Chinese culture. It enjoys the reputation of the hometown of folk arts and overseas Chinese in Guangdong Province.
Zhongshan City is located in the south-central part of Guangdong Province, at the estuary of the Pearl River. The most distinctive, these two folk songs have a history of more than 300 years and are popular in Tanzhou Town and other Shatin areas.
