It takes about a week to travel freely in Lake Baikal. How?

Lake Baikal is free to travel for about a week. Here's how to do this:

To go to Lake Baikal, we must first arrive in Irkutsk, Russia, which is the closest city to Lake Baikal and the second largest city in eastern Siberia.

Arrival mode:

1. From China to Irkutsk, it is most convenient to start from Beijing. This small town is located on the most romantic train journey handed down by backpackers-"All the way to Moscow" is in trans-siberian railway, Beijing → Ulaanbaatar → Irkutsk → Moscow. In this order, you can take the train with your pants on, stay in Irkutsk for two days, and then continue the train journey with your pants on. But the train has been running along the lake for a day or two. Maybe you have seen enough of this lake on the train.

The plane departs from Beijing, and the cheaper ones are Siberian Airlines (S7) and Hainan Airlines. Due to the fall of the ruble, the air ticket price from Beijing to Irkutsk has remained at around 2,500 yuan including tax all the year round. From time to time, I can brush the fare to about 2000 RMB. A friend I know in Irkutsk even bought a round-trip ticket of 1800 RMB.

About the tourist season: four seasons and four scenic spots.

Look at the rime: 12- 1 month

See Lan Bing: It's best to go from February to March, when the lake is completely frozen, so you can shoot a national geographic blockbuster.

Summer and cool season: July to August

Look at the yellow leaves: 10 month, the eleventh period is very good.

There are more animals and plants in the lake than any freshwater lake in the world, among which 1083 species are unique and unique to the world. What interests scientists most is the antiquity of organisms, among which there are many extinct species in other freshwater lakes in Siberia.

In summer, the blue waves are rippling, and tourists can row boats on it, or arrange a classic tour route on Olhon Island, the largest island in the lake. Orhon island, also known as Ol'chon. It is the deepest lake in the world and the largest island in Lake Baikal. Buryats who believe in shamanism believe that this is the five shaman energy poles in the world. Because of its isolation, Orhon Island became the last seclusion of shaman wizards in North Asia. During Genghis Khan's period, Mongolian shaman once took refuge here, and then Buddhism spread widely in Buryat, and Buryat shaman also took refuge here when he was persecuted in18th century. Today, people still hold traditional shaman rituals and sacrifices on the shores of Orhon Island and Lake Baikal. The "capital" of the island is Hurrir village, where accommodation and dining on the island are concentrated. The island has complex topography and rugged rocks. The most famous is the existence of this landmark-Shaman Stone. If you take a chartered bus on the northern line, the climax of the whole trip is CapeKhoboy, a spectacular rock located in the northernmost part of Orhon Island.
