What happened to the Thai flight at Nanjing Airport?
Affected by the cold air in the north, from March 15, thunderstorms and windy weather occurred in Nanjing, Jiangsu and other places. It is reported from Nanjing Lukou International Airport that an XW887 flight from Bangkok, Thailand to Nanjing was struck by lightning last night, resulting in damage to one of the aircraft engines. It is understood that due to engine damage, the fault cannot be eliminated in a short time. At 9 o'clock that night, the flight was forced to cancel. Nanjing Border Inspection Station immediately adopted an emergency plan, temporarily opened a special passage, and went through customs clearance procedures for more than 400 passengers who were going to take the flight to Thailand. At present, this plane is still being repaired at Nanjing Lukou International Airport.
