The beginning and end of the blue mill line

The starting point of Lanmo Line is Xigu District of Lanzhou City, and the end point is Mengla County of Xishuangbanna Autonomous Prefecture.

Lanmo Line is a national highway in the northwest and southwest of China, starting from Lanzhou, passing through Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan, and Chengdu to Mohan Town in Mengla County, Yunnan Province. The whole journey is 2827 kilometers, passing through Gansu, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan provinces.

Lan-Mo Line, also known as G2 13 National Highway, refers to the main trunk highways with national political and economic significance, including important international highways and national defense highways, as well as highways connecting the capital with the capitals of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government. Inter-provincial highways in national highways are built, maintained and managed by specialized agencies approved by the Ministry of Communications.

Highway anecdote

Dangerous sections of the road

The Wenchuan-Dujiangyan section of this national highway was rated as one of the top ten dead sections in China on the Internet (mainly because it is muddy, with one lane going back and forth, and many cars are broken, with mountains on one side and Minjiang River on the other, with a speed limit of 40 kilometers).

Disaster relief channel

Later, after the 5. 12 Wenchuan earthquake, this road was a life passage (because it was the only road leading to Wenchuan), so it was rebuilt. Although the road has been repaired, please check the weather forecast the day before taking this road and try to avoid traveling in rainy days, because the road from Wenchuan to Dujiangyan is prone to mudslides and landslides.

Rebuild the expressway

After the disaster, the expressway from Dujiangyan to Wenchuan has been opened (Du Wen Expressway, numbered S9, Sichuan), and the pavement of the old 2 13 national highway has been improved very well, and the traffic is unimpeded.

Langchuan section

Langchuan Road of Chuanzhusi (in Sichuan)-langmusi (in Gansu) has a very good road surface. Pay attention to yaks and sheep crossing dark ice on roads, tunnels and bends. Pay attention to control the speed.
