Climate difference between north and south The difference between north and south of China lies in the waterlogging in the south and the drought in the north.

1. China has an East Asian monsoon climate. Due to the influence of monsoon, the annual precipitation gradually decreases from the southeast coast to the northwest inland. In the south, not only the rainy season lasts for a long time, but also floods often occur because of the concentrated precipitation in summer and autumn.

2. However, the precipitation in North China and Northwest China is less, coupled with excessive reclamation and grazing, and the water storage and drought resistance are poor, so they face serious "water shortage", which affects the production and life of local people.
