Why did Seoul change its name to Seoul

Seoul changed its name to Seoul because Koreans think the name Seoul is too China-like.

Seoul was originally the capital of Koguryo and one of the three capitals. 1392, Li Chenggui, the great ancestor of Korea, established the Korean dynasty in Jing Kai, and moved to Hanyang, now Seoul, in 1394. Since then, Hanyang has been the capital of North Korea. During the Japanese occupation, Hanyang was reduced to Seoul County until it was merged into Gyeonggi Province with Kaicheng County. After the recovery of South Korea, the independent government began to use the Korean special word "Seoul" in 1948. Because there was no Chinese name at that time, China and others always used the Chinese name Seoul.
