Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture is an autonomous prefecture and prefecture-level administrative region under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province. It is located at the southernmost tip of Yunnan Province in People's Republic of China (PRC), belonging to the tropical humid area south of the Tropic of Cancer, and is connected with Jiangcheng County and Pu 'er City in the east and west. It borders Lancang County in the northwest, Laos, Myanmar in the southeast, Myanmar in the south and Vietnam in the southwest.
