Why is there foam in the urine?

First of all, there is foam in urine. Many people's first feeling is caused by the impact. However, if the bubble does not disappear, it may not be just an impulse. Maybe it's an internal problem. When most people think of urine, it is not necessarily a kidney problem. Let's see what causes bubbles in urine.

1, caused by urethral examination

When cystoscopy, retrograde pyelography and catheter examination are performed for diseases such as kidney, bladder and prostate, gas may enter bladder, ureter and even kidney, and it will bubble when discharged with urine. This kind of bubble urine does not need treatment and generally does not bring harm.

2. Urinary tract infection

There are gas-producing bacteria infections in the urinary tract, such as Escherichia coli, gas-producing bacteria, Proteus mirabilis, pneumonia bacteria, yeast, etc., which can all produce gas. When these gas-producing bacteria cause urinary system infection, substances such as glucose in urine can be fermented to produce gas.

3. Diabetes

If the blood sugar of diabetic patients is not well controlled, foam urine will also appear, which may be due to the fact that gas-producing bacteria ferment glucose in urine in tissues to produce carbon dioxide and hydrogen.

4. Urine concentration

In the case of drinking too little water, sweating too much, diarrhea, etc. The human body will concentrate the urine due to insufficient water, and various components in the urine will change, such as the increase of protein, mucus and organic matter, which will increase the surface tension of the urine and make it prone to foam.

5, humoral urine

Some men have semen in their urethra, so there may be a certain amount of foam in their urine when they go to the toilet. There is no need to worry too much about this. This is because of vesicular urine caused by semen. Such as retrograde ejaculation (common in patients with diabetes and autonomic nervous dysfunction); Regular excitement increases mucus secreted by urethral bulbar gland, after nocturnal emission, etc.

6. Urethral injury

Due to trauma, tumor, inflammation, childbirth, congenital malformation, surgery and other factors, urethra, like intestinal tract or female private parts and other gas-containing organs or tissues, can also cause bladder urine.

7. Under what circumstances will there be foam in urine?

1, eat big fish and big meat

"Bubble in urine" is a common clinical problem. In fact, bubbles are not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes, even if the phenomenon of "proteinuria" is confirmed by careful examination, it is not necessarily a disease. Probably protein ate a lot of big fish and meat with high protein the night before, such as steak, seafood and barbecue. It exceeds the filtration limit of human kidney and runs into urine.

2. strenuous exercise

Doing a lot or intense exercise the day before may also cause "proteinuria". Because protein is the main muscle component of human body, proteinuria may occur during a lot of exercise. In addition, a cold or acute inflammation of the body is also the reason for the increase of urinary protein.

In other words, as long as the diet becomes light, or take a rest for a few days after exercise, check it again (the faster way is to directly observe the bubbles in the urine). If there are no more bubbles, it should be no problem.

Therefore, having bubbles in urine does not necessarily mean that there is something wrong with the kidney.
