Announcement on the suspension of the opening of Maoer Mountain Scenic Area due to rain and snow.

Maoer Mountain in Guilin is located in Xing 'an, Guilin, and it is named because its peak looks like a lying giant cat. The main peak of Maoershan is more than 2 100 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in South China. It is often called "the head of the five mountains and the top of the South China". It is also the birthplace of Lijiang River and Zijiang River, connecting the Yangtze River and the Pearl River.

There are vast forests, scattered trees, primitive forest scenery, precious tree species left over from the ice age-hemlock, Longtan Waterfall and the source of Lijiang River. Fresh and charming. From April to June every year, azaleas bloom everywhere here, forming a sea of flowers. Looking from a distance, the clouds are rolling and comfortable. In addition to the natural scenery, Maoershan also has red scenic spots such as the Laoshan boundary crossed by the Red Army during the Long March and the crash site of the US military plane during World War II.

It is suggested to take the scenic bus directly to the top of Maoer Mountain, about 1 hour. On the way, you will stop at several important scenic spots, such as Laoshan border and Hemlock Park. After getting off the bus, you need to walk a climb to get to the top. Sunset, sunrise and sea of clouds are all beautiful here. There are hotels and inns on the top of the mountain. You can stay here for one night so that you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise the next morning.

As "the head of the five mountains and the top of the south", it is also deeply loved by hikers. The main hiking route is from the mountain gate to the Grand Canyon, then back to the Rhododendron Garden, through the old boundary mountain, to the Hemlock Park, and through the high mountains and low forests to the top of the mountain. If you don't have rich outdoor sports experience, it is not recommended to go hiking rashly.
