Houding Mountain is also rich in wildlife resources. There are a large number of wild animals here, including leopard, wild boar, antelope and other national protected animals, as well as foxes, roe deer, badgers and other wild animals 100 species. There are more than 70 kinds of birds. Rare birds protected by the state include cranes, pheasants, cuckoos, owls and mountain pigeons. Among them, there are a strange "black bird" and "rain bird", and local mountain people can know the weather changes according to the birds' calls. The wild vegetables planted in Houding Mountain are well known, especially bracken, wild lily, bitter vegetable and pheasant wings. There are wild fruits such as hazelnut, hawthorn, wild grape and Rosa roxburghii that can be picked everywhere, and there are more than 70 kinds of wild medicinal materials all over the mountain.
