Zhumadian City is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province, also known as Runing, Cai Zhou and Tianzhong. On June 8, 2000, Zhumadian was established. It is located in the south-central part of Henan Province, in the hilly plain of the upper reaches of Huaihe River, on the third-class landform steps of China, across the eastern edge of Nanyang Basin and Huaibei Plain, with a total area of 15083 square kilometers.
