Tips for summer maintenance of automobile tires

Tires are essential for cars, and it is very dangerous to have a flat tire at high speed. The temperature is very high in summer, and the road surface temperature is also very high, which brings great pressure to the tires. The probability of puncture in summer is much higher than that in other seasons, because you must take good care of your car tires in summer.

1. Check tire pressure.

In hot weather in summer, when the vehicle speed reaches 100~ 120, the tread temperature will reach 80℃ or even exceed 100℃, and the internal pressure will increase. If the tire pressure is too high, it is easy to have a puncture accident. Therefore, it is necessary to appropriately reduce the tire pressure. When the tire pressure is too low, it should be inflated in time to check whether the tire leaks. Now many cars have the function of tire pressure monitoring, which makes the master feel very convenient and worry-free. Remember to pay attention from time to time. If not, you can also consider installing one, and the price is not expensive.

Don't be exposed to the sun for a long time.

If a car tire is exposed to the sun for a long time, the temperature inside the tire will rise, making the tire tread more prone to aging and the probability of puncture will increase.

When the outdoor temperature is high, the car should be parked in the shade. When the body temperature naturally decreases, cold water should be poured to cool the tires. If possible, you can fill the tire with nitrogen, because nitrogen is an inert gas, and the tire is not easy to burst due to heat after adding nitrogen.

What if the tire is flat?

If you can prevent a puncture, you can prevent it, but if you really have a puncture, you should learn to deal with it and try your best to ensure your personal safety. Don't slam on the brakes in case of a flat tire. We should keep calm, hold the steering wheel with both hands, lightly brake, try to keep the car stable, and then slowly pull over. After parking, you can call the police for help, or you can replace the damaged tire with a spare tire and drive it to the repair shop.
