Why can't more than 40 families see the collapsed village of Diexi Mountain in Maoxian County, Sichuan Province?

The local residents of Diexi Mountain in Maoxian County, Sichuan Province said: More than 40 households in the village can't see it, and it has been raining for a month.

At about 6 o'clock today (June 24), the mountain of Xincun Formation in Xinmo Village, Diexi Town, Mao County suddenly collapsed at a high level, with a collapse volume of about 8 million cubic meters. At present, 62 households 120 people have lost contact.

It's only 10 km away from Diexi Town. I noticed a restaurant opened by Haizi, a self-employed person in Xining, which has been open for several years. This morning, when he learned that a large area of landslide occurred in Diexi Town, he immediately rushed to the scene to understand the situation.

"There are more than 40 households in the village, and I can't see it when I go." Haizi said that when he arrived at Xincun Formation of Xinmo Village in Diexi Town in the morning, there was no one at the whole landslide site. "It's terribly quiet." Haizi recalled that when he stepped on a large piece of gravel and looked around, the once familiar Xinmo Village in Diexi Town was beyond recognition.

Haizi took out his mobile phone and showed reporters the live videos and pictures he had taken at that time. In the picture, there is no figure in the landslide area, and the river is full of large pieces of gravel, which can't be seen at a glance. The photo shows that the shooting time is 9: 23.

Haizi recalled that it rained continuously for nearly a month in the whole area of Diexi Town. "The rain is not very continuous, but it rains every day, with only 1 and 2 days in between." In his personal opinion, the continuous rainy weather will lead to mountain loosening, which may be directly related to the landslide incident in Diexi Town.

It is reported that after preliminary analysis by experts on-site reconnaissance, this is a high-level remote debris flow disaster induced by rainfall.

This restaurant operated by Haizi is located next to G2 13 National Road, and it has been the only way to Diexi Town for several years.

At present, the road near the collapse site is blocked, and some rescue vehicles are still difficult to reach the scene.
