The acceleration performance can be amplified in rainy days. When the road conditions are good, as long as a car is not too weak and willing to give oil, there is always a feeling. However, in the face of slippery roads, it is also common to tread lightly, tread heavily on tires, slip and even push your head.

In this regard, the performance of Xingyue is quite outstanding. There is no obvious difference from acceleration in sunny days except for the unique sound of tires pressing on wet roads. Its speed increase is still smooth and its chassis is still stable. This performance also gives me enough confidence to drive this car to accelerate, brake and turn corners quickly.

According to official data, the zero percent acceleration of Xingyue is only 6.8S, which is already ahead of some 2.0T four-door coupes. In rainy days, the braking performance of most vehicles will be reduced to varying degrees. These phenomena are not obvious in Yue. When I step on the brake pedal at a speed of 90km/h, Xingyue can still drive forward smoothly while slowing down quickly, and then stop smoothly. During normal driving, you don't need to brake in advance or increase the braking intensity intentionally because of the weather, as if such weather is a pediatrician in front of the moon and the stars.

Xingyue's steering system comes from Bosch, which adopts DP-ESP rack-type electronic power steering and high-strength cast aluminum material. The steering ratio is 15.7, and the total revolution of the steering wheel is 2.7. Smaller turns can reduce the operating time when driving hard. In addition, the steering knuckle of Xingyue is made of lighter aluminum, which can reduce the weight by 40% compared with cast iron, thus making the response faster and the control more accurate. This is also a big reason why I can easily deal with all corners in this rainy test run.

During the test drive, I was deeply impressed that the chassis adjustment of Xingyue was not as sporty as it looked. Generally speaking, its chassis gives people the first impression of stability, and then after driving for seven or eight kilometers, you will find that its overall adjustment is biased towards ride comfort, and you will find that the slightly bumpy road surface and conventional speed bumps you just drove all the way are not as obvious as expected. Although I can obviously feel that each wheel falls at a different height from the ground on the bumpy road, the overall comfort is well guaranteed. In my opinion, the adjustment of the stars and the moon is obviously more popular than the blind pursuit of movement and manipulation.

Driver's comments: During the test drive experience, it is not difficult to find that the power system and handling performance of Xingyue are in line with the positioning of its sports SUV. The handsome appearance and rich configuration can also impress consumers to some extent. Although the sales volume of Xingyue is destined to be inferior to Geely's Job series, it is more determined by its relatively niche positioning, and as far as Xingyue itself is concerned, it is indeed a good car!
