Where does kelp live?
Kelp mainly grows in low-temperature seawater, but it requires high illumination. It grows vigorously in places with clear seawater and good water quality, and often grows on rocks two to three meters below the low tide line along the coast.
Kelp is mainly distributed in the North Pacific Ocean, mainly distributed in the northern coast of Korea, northern Honshu, Hokkaido and the southern coast of the former Soviet Union, with Aomori Prefecture and Iwate Prefecture in Hokkaido, Japan as the most, and also distributed along the coast of Wonsan, South Korea. The distribution areas of kelp in China are the northern coast of China and the coastal areas of Fujian and Zhejiang, and now most of them are farmed artificially.

Kelp likes weak light environment and will rot under strong light, so it is best to put it in the place where natural light enters indoors. If the kelp is cultured in the sea, the raft frame of kelp is generally placed at the water depth of 10 -40 meters, and the kelp culture growth is generally 0.5-2 meters underwater.
The longest growth period of wild kelp is 2-3 years, and it usually stops growing after one meter. It is hot in summer, and it begins to rot from the tip of the leaf, and then it begins to grow again after the temperature drops in autumn. The cultured kelp leaves the nursery every year at 65438+ 10, and goes into the sea at 165438+ 10, and the harvest begins at the end of April and the beginning of May of the following year, and it will be harvested at the latest at the end of July.
