Xiang-Yu Railway starts from Xiangyang, Hubei Province in the east and ends in Chongqing in the west. /kloc-0 started construction in April, 1968;/kloc-0 was laid in Daxian County, Sichuan Province (now Dazhou City) in August, 1975;/kloc-0 was temporarily put into operation in October. 1979 65438+It was completed and put into operation in February.

Xiangyu Railway starts from Xiangyang Station, leaves Xiangyang Railway Hub from Xiangyang North Station, passes through Laohekou East Station, Gucheng Station, Liu Liping Station, Shiyan Station, Baihe County Station, Xunyang Station, Ankang Station, Ziyang Station, Wanyuan Station, Dazhou Station, Quxian Station, Guang 'an Station and Huaying Station, and enters Chongqing Railway Hub through Beibei Station, with a total length of 837 kilometers. This railway runs through Hubei, Shaanxi, Sichuan and Chongqing. It is connected with Han and Liu Jiao railways in the east, Yang 'an and Xikang railways in the middle, and Dacheng, Dawan, Bada, Suiyu, Lanzhou-Chongqing, Chengyu, Sichuan-Guizhou and Huai Yu railways in the south. It is the traffic artery connecting the Central Plains and the Southwest of China, which is of great significance to economic development and strengthening national defense. The line from Xiangyang to the east section of Laohekou is 56 kilometers, and 1960 was completed and opened to traffic. The main line of the newly-built railway is 859.6 kilometers long, designed by the second, third and fourth survey and design institutes of the Ministry of Railways and the Electrification Engineering Bureau, and the railway soldiers are responsible for the construction.
