—— The new weather radar developed by North General Electronics Group Co., Ltd. of China Ordnance Industry Group settled in the weather station of Fort Meteorological Bureau of Shihezi City, Xinjiang. After the radar is put into use recently, it will greatly improve the forecasting ability of summer hail weather in Shihezi area.

The radar is an all-solid coherent dual-polarization Doppler weather radar, the most advanced X-band weather radar in China at present, and the first monitoring radar in Xinjiang for monitoring hail cloud structure and guiding hail suppression operations in weather modification. It can send back monitoring data in real time.
