Due to reasons such as weather and improper storage, cigarettes are often susceptible to moisture, which will seriously affect their quality. So, how should retailers and consumers identify whether cigarettes are affected by moisture?

One smell: If the aroma of the cigarette is pure, it means that the cut tobacco is normal and not affected by moisture. If there is a musty or other odor, the cigarette may be damp.

Two pinches: The dry cut tobacco is elastic and brittle. The damp tobacco is weak and easy to break.

Third look: Normal cut tobacco is oily and shiny. If the cut tobacco gets wet, it will lose its luster and become dark.

Fourth listening: Normal cigarettes have a slight rustling sound when rubbed with hands. A damp cigarette is soft and silent.

Fifth burning: After lighting a cigarette, more than 2/3 of a normal cigarette will spontaneously ignite. Cigarettes that are damp or have "knots" cannot achieve this.

Six puffs: A cigarette that is not damp can be smoked normally after being lit. On the contrary, it will be easily extinguished and hinder normal smoking.

So how to protect cigarettes from moisture? Here are several methods:

Quick lime block storage method. Put a small amount of quicklime into a container such as a tin box or porcelain jar, cover it with newspaper, then place the cigarettes on it and close the lid tightly. It is worth noting that the changes in the quicklime blocks should be checked every half month. If they deliquesce and turn into lime powder, they should be replaced in time. If it turns into lime powder and is not replaced in time, the moisture it absorbs will be absorbed by the cigarettes.

Silica gel storage method. Wrap the silica gel granules in a gauze bag and put it into a sealed plastic bag, then put the cigarette in it and tie it tightly. Regularly observe whether the silica gel particles turn from blue to white. If they turn white, it means they have absorbed enough water. Take them out and bake them in a pot. You can continue to use them after they turn blue.

Hope to adopt it, thank you!
