The ancient town of Liu Hou is located by the Lotus Lake, 23 kilometers south of Shiquan County, and its terrain is surrounded by water on three sides, showing a peninsula shape. Post-Jin Ryu is simple and heavy, with a long history. This 8-acre land located in Xiajie has been identified as a Neolithic site after archaeological excavation by provincial archaeologists. A large number of stone axes and stone tools were unearthed in this area in the 1960s and 1970s, indicating that ancestors lived here as early as the Neolithic Age and created a splendid ancient civilization.

Hanjiang River is a transportation hub that runs through the north and south. According to records, Liu Hou Wharf is an important water transport station in ancient times. Every day, dozens of merchant ships are moored on the river, and workers are busy loading and unloading. Merchant ships go downstream or upstream, and there is a busy scene everywhere. Inferred from the ruins of the Stone Buddha Temple and the Fire Temple, the ancient town of Liu Hou was very prosperous before the Ming Dynasty. Historically, Liu Hou was rich in tung oil. People built stone barriers along the river, built oil mills and produced tung oil, so it was called "oil mill barrier". During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were more than ten oil mills in the town, and more than 400 baskets (about 50 tons) of tung oil were transported to Wuhan by water every year. Tung oil should use bamboo baskets, and the mountains are full of bamboo forests, so the bamboo weaving process is very particular. Today, although merchant ships no longer exist, bamboo forests are still a major feature of Liu Hou. According to the local old man, there were many merchants in Liu Hou Street at that time, and their business was booming. There are old hotels, restaurants and pharmacies along the street.

Now the features of Liu Hou and the ancient town are well preserved. The narrow and quaint Qingshiban Street, the contiguous wooden facade houses along the street, and the ruins of the Millennium Gleditsia sinensis, the Temple of Fire and the Ancient Stone Buddha Temple all seem to tell people about the past glory of Liu Hou.

Liu Hou Ancient Town is located in the future Liushui Town, located in the south of Shiquan County, on the west bank of Hanjiang River, 22km away from the county seat. It is a 500-mu harbor formed by the backward flow of Xihe Hydropower Station and the backflow of Zhongba River, which is closely related to the ancient town of Liu Hou. Blue waves rippled in the lake, and wild ducks wandered around, with a wide field of vision and pleasant scenery.

The scenic spot has convenient transportation, the high-grade Shiquan-Ziyang highway passes through the territory, the waterway transportation is very developed and the geographical position is very superior. The style of the Millennium ancient town is still vague, the fire temple of the cultural relics site is basically well preserved, and the story of the famous anti-Japanese war star Wang Fantang is a household name. In terms of tourist location, you can go to the Yanzidong scenic spot in the east and the Zhongba Grand Canyon in the west.

Liu Hou water town provides tourists with leisure and pleasant amusement space with its southern Shaanxi customs, Hanshui culture and hydrophilic activities. Water landscape resources and animal and plant resources are very rich, forming a rare treasure house of natural ecology.
