The geographical environment of Shi Xia Street

Shi Xia Street is located in Hangjiahu Plain, east and west mountains. The street borders Yuanhua Town and Baibu Town of Haiyan County in the east, Maqiao Street in the south, Haizhou Street in the west and Haichang Street in the north. The transportation in China is convenient, and the Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway passes through the territory. It is 25km from Shanghai125km in the northeast, 61.5km from Hangzhou in the southwest, 22km from North-South Avenue to Yan Guan, a tidal resort, and 8km from Tudian exit of Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway. Waterways are smooth, such as Shihe River, Luotang River and Majing Port. The Changshan River on the north side is connected with the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.

The street belongs to subtropical monsoon climate, with mild climate, abundant rainfall and sunshine, and four distinct seasons. Annual average temperature 15.9℃, average precipitation 1 187mm, sunshine of 2002.9 hours and frost-free period of 233.5 days. Because it is located in the middle latitude, there are often bad weather such as drought, waterlogging and wind. Because the beach sand state is formed by land deposition, the terrain is relatively flat, the ground elevation is 4-5 meters (Wusong elevation), the strata are mostly Quaternary, the erosion and siltation foundations are widely distributed, and the groundwater resources are rich. The soil is mostly clay, with good structure, harmonious moisture, moderate pH and moderate nutrients, which is suitable for the growth of various crops.
