1, topographic features
Hunchun City is saddle-shaped, surrounded by mountains in the east, south and north, and the mountainous area accounts for more than 80% of Hunchun City. Laoyeling, the highest peak in China, is a forest mountain with an altitude of1477.4m, ranking first in Chinese mainland in the 2nd1century. On the west is the Hunchun River alluvial plain, covering an area of more than 600 square kilometers, which is the concentration of population and industry in Hunchun City. The city is located in the middle and west of Hunchun Plain, with a built-up area of 25 square kilometers. Hunchun also has small plains and basins such as Jingxin and Chunhua, with an altitude of 30 meters to 100 meters and an area of 628 square kilometers, accounting for 9.5% of the total area. It is the main producing area of rice, vegetables and other cash crops.
2. Climate characteristics
Hunchun belongs to the mid-temperate monsoon climate, close to the ocean, and has the climate characteristics of warm winter and cool summer because of the natural barrier of mountains in the west and north. The main meteorological disasters are: gale, rainstorm (snow), chilling injury, drought, cold wave, thunderstorm, frost and so on.
3. Characteristics of natural resources
Hunchun grassland covers an area of10.6 million hectares, with good grass quality and sufficient water resources. Grassland types mainly include sparse forest and grass, meadow grassland and swamp meadow grassland. The main plant species are wild grass, wild green shoots, wild awn, Kentucky bluegrass and wild pea, anemone, Ursula, Carex macrophylla and other leguminous grasses. Hunchun has a forested area of 435,000 hectares, a forest coverage rate of 85%, a timber storage volume of 45.537 million cubic meters and an annual logging volume of 6.5438+0.2 million cubic meters. The main tree species are Korean pine, spruce, larch, Fraxinus mandshurica, basswood, oak and birch. And there is a natural population of Taxus chinensis, a national first-class protected plant with a tree age of more than 2,000 years. The ancient and famous trees 13 with a history of more than 300 years in the city have also been specially protected.
