Six applications and four kinds of data

The reporter searched for "air quality" in a mobile phone application assistant and found 48 related results. The reporter downloaded and installed 6 apps with large downloads, and prepared to test who these apps are reliable. The reporter found that the air quality in Jinan displayed by these apps is different, and the difference between the highest and lowest is more than 70.

Compared with the mobile phone air quality APP, the weather, national air quality index and national air quality are consistent with this.

"Ink Weather" once said in the official Weibo that all the air quality data of ink weather came from China National Environmental Monitoring Center, and at the same time, after strict manual comparison, the published data were further ensured to be consistent with the official data. The data of other software also comes from different channels, some claim to come from the public data of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and some are compiled based on the secondary calculation of public data.

What is the reason for such a big gap? The reporter called Ink Weather, and the company replied that its data did not adopt the AQI calculation standard of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, but obtained the highest values of six pollutants: PM2.5, PM 10, carbon monoxide, ozone, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide through weighted calculation.
