What does F mean in the weather forecast?
F stands for the wind force in the weather forecast. It can often be seen in ocean forecasting, indicating the direction and representing the direction of the wind.
The wind direction is represented by eight directions, which is equivalent to the opposite direction of F in the symbol.
The long and short straight lines or small triangles at the tail of F represent wind speed. Each long stroke represents the wind of 4m/s, that is, the secondary wind, and the short stroke is about half of the long stroke, representing the wind of 2m/s, that is, the primary wind. Each pennant represents a wind of 20 meters per second, which is equivalent to 8-9.
