Wencheng has a month's weather.

The first time I went to Huanggekeng was in late summer, when the plants in the mountains were lush and beautiful. I took some photos, but I didn't feel very satisfied, and then I went to the second time. Huangyangkeng is located in the deep mountains in the northwest of wencheng county, which is a distant place for people living in the county seat. The car starts from the county seat, along the winding mountain road, through Baizhang Mine and Nantian, and goes deeper into the mountain.

Huangyangkeng is surrounded by mountains on three sides and water on one side. This is a beautiful small village located halfway up the mountain. The village is shrouded in fog all the year round. There is a mountain stream passing through the village, and the water gurgles all the year round. During this period, wooden houses, stone walls and stone bridges are reflected in them, which makes people stop and has a strong pastoral atmosphere everywhere. I felt very lost as soon as I walked in!

Huangyangkeng Village has a history of more than 500 years. Most villagers are surnamed Xu. The first person to live here is Xu Chongjiu, the grandson of Xu Bolong.

Not many people know Xu Chongjiu, but Xu Bolong is Liu Ji's contemporary. Xu Bolong was born in the period from Yuan Dynasty to Shun Dynasty (1333) and lived in Zhang 'ao, Nantian. In the 14th year of Yuan Dynasty (1354), Wu Chengqi in Huangtan revolted. Therefore, the imperial court was furious and ordered the governor to lead the troops to conquer. Ironically, when we arrived in Nantian, the officers and men were afraid to move forward. Xu Bolong is good at dancing knives, and he has great courage since he was a child. He volunteered to crusade against the rebels, and was named as the commandant of Songyang County. When Wu Chengqi marched into Qingtian, Xu Bolong and the "righteous man" resisted on the road outside Zhang 'ao, but they were outnumbered. Xu Bolong was killed by Wu Chengqi and the rebels.

After Xu Bolong's death, Wu Cheng went to the village to see his wife Shi Xia, who was beautiful and wanted to marry her by force. Xia resolutely refused to accept it, raised his knife to break his hair, and defended himself with "breaking his head without humiliating himself." A group of people saw this heroic, dare not forcibly offend. Later, in order to raise young children, Xia destroyed her appearance. Raising children, being widowed in troubled times. It is said that Xia's face was cut and disfigured with a knife. Appearance is very important to a person, not to mention a beautiful young woman in her twenties. Xia's deeds were widely circulated at that time.

Later, the deeds of Xu Bolong and his wife were reported. The Yuan court commended Xu Bolong for his heroic martyrdom, gave him a letter of "loyalty and courage" and built a temple of loyalty and courage. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, the governor of Zhejiang Province celebrated the Xiajiajian Festival. Xu Bolong's bravery and Xia's loyalty and fortitude are admirable. Nowadays, Xu's descendants mention their ancestors, which is also a few treasures.

Xu Chongjiu was born in the early years of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1403). Probably, he also grew up listening to the stories of his grandparents. But he is an easy-going person who doesn't like noise and yearns for peace and freedom. During Chenghua period of Ming Dynasty, Xu Chongjiu discovered Huanggekeng. He felt that his land was green and clear, and he moved his family from Zhang 'ao to Huanggekeng, where he reclaimed land and settled down. In the vast mountains and forests, I live a Tao Yuanming-like life.

Huangyangkeng is really remote. More than 500 years have passed, and now we enter the village, which is still a rare quiet in the downtown area. Moreover, there is the beauty of Tao Yuanming's "home is like his home, fertile land, beautiful ponds, mulberry and bamboo", and there is the wilderness of "castle traffic, chickens and dogs hear each other".

The architectural style of the village is unique. Most of the houses are two-story wooden structures, all built on the hillside of the village. Seen from a distance, these buildings built in the Qing Dynasty are still well preserved.

When you enter the village, the first thing you see are stone walls and houses made of stones. The stone wall is divided into two layers, which are connected by stone steps. Due to the humidity in the mountains, the stone walls and steps are covered with moss, and the entrance of the courtyard gate is fenced. Stone walls, stone steps, moss, old houses and fences are all harmonious and simple. Because it is cloudy, standing at the bottom and looking up, stone walls and old houses are hidden in a gray weather, giving people a feeling of vastness.

Walking on the bluestone steps, the steps after the rain are slightly slippery and covered with moss. Standing high, the village has a panoramic view. Buildings with roofs and exquisite attics make people feel back to the past. From time to time, you can see quaint and elegant doorways, incomplete stone walls, moss-covered ancient roads, and walls surrounded by doors. These buildings are in harmony with the surrounding scenery. And those mossy steps and buildings make people doubt that they have entered the fairy tale world in The Wizard of Oz.

After walking for a while, I found the village very quiet. I can't see any young people except a few old people sitting in front of one or two old houses chatting. The vitality of the village, on the poultry walking around the fence inside and outside the courtyard, chickens hold their heads high, ducks walk leisurely in front of the old house and inside and outside the fence, chasing each other, as if the world here belongs to them.

When approaching an old house, an old woman was feeding chickens and ducks at the back door of the kitchen. When she heard someone coming, the chickens and ducks became alert and looked around. When the old man saw us, he was very friendly and his eyes were full of smiles. During the chat, I learned that most of the young people in the village have gone out, leaving behind some old people. They have lived in the village for most of their lives and seldom go out. With the consent of the old man, he went to the second floor of the old house. When we went upstairs, the wooden stairs creaked and groaned under our feet because of the years. Standing upstairs, you can see most of the village. The red tiles on the original house have become dark in the long-term wind and rain. That dull luster, like some mysterious and obscure literary works, not only confuses you, but also attracts you to see more.

Although the village is vast and sparsely populated, the life is still very strong, and there are many household appliances closely related to the villagers. From time to time, you can see the hemp fiber hanging under the eaves, the wooden washstand and stone mill standing at the door, all kinds of bamboo baskets and cookers hanging in the kitchen, bamboo chairs, wooden fans (threshers) and other daily necessities across the aisle.

I saw a surprise in an old house at the entrance to the village. The old house is built on the hillside at the entrance of the village. It is a two-story wooden building. The house is concave, surrounded by courtyard walls and doorways. Going out can go in different directions. There are not only many gates in the old house, but also many small doors in the building. No one lives in the house now, and some houses have been demolished. As few people came, the steps and stone walls around the house were covered with moss.

Although the building is empty, there are many electrical appliances in the house. There are a large number of bamboo products and farm tools in several rooms on the second floor, including bamboo baskets, bamboo screens, bamboo fences, bamboo dustpans, bamboo hats, bamboo plaques, bamboo poles, bamboo mats, chicken cages, duck cages, pig cages and other bamboo products. In addition, there are all kinds of wooden pots, wooden barrels, grain measuring barrels, rice mills and so on. This is the most complete farm tool I have ever seen in a private house. There are all kinds of household tools, and you can almost open a family-style farm tool museum.

I'm curious about the owner of this house. The old man in the village said that this house was originally the former residence of Xu, Xu Shaoxun and others. At that time, the Red Army and underground revolutionaries once lived here. The old man pointed to many doors and said that this house has many front doors and back doors, which also provides convenience for revolutionaries to evacuate in critical situations. When the Red Army lived here, someone entered from the front door, and the Red Army quickly withdrew from the back door. Later, the village organized villagers to move to the countryside, and all the residents living here moved out, and the houses were abandoned, but the daily necessities and farm tools used by the villagers were left in the old houses.

From the left side of the old house to the back door, to the Shimen of the old house on the hillside path, Shimen has become crumbling because of disrepair and deformation. Outside the stone gate is a mountain road leading to the other side of the mountain. The old man said that this road was the route for the Red Army to evacuate that year.

Although there are few villagers left in Huangyangkeng village, the villagers are simple and modest and live a comfortable life in their own world. When we shuttled back and forth in the village, the villagers were very kind to us and took the initiative to say hello to us. Some even warmly invited us to sit at home.

I walked back and forth several times in the village and liked the stone steps in the village. These routes are paved with strips of different sizes; Some roads spin up and down the house; Some roads run back and forth along the stream; Some roads crisscross. Although these roads are small, they extend in all directions. Walking along each road can lead to different directions. Wet weather and rainy days in the south have covered every stone step with moss. From a distance, every road looks like an emerald blanket. Walking on the path between streams, listening to the trickle, up and down. I turned every corner and photographed every scene, but I still linger. The change of lingering in a village in the cycle of four seasons. No matter how the four seasons in the village cycle, some beautiful things will always leave some beautiful memories!
