Meng Jiangnv is called the Great Wall for short, 300 words.

During the Qin Dynasty, Meng Jia and the Jiang family were neighbors and had no daughters. Grandpa Meng planted a gourd seed in the corner. In autumn, melons are ripe. Grandpa Meng cut it open and saw a white and fat little girl inside. She is descended from two families, so she is called Meng Jiangnv.

Meng Jiangnv has grown up gradually. One day, Meng Jiangnv and the maid were playing in the garden when they suddenly found a little scholar hiding under the grape trellis. The primary school student said his name was Fan Xiliang. Qin Shihuang arrested people everywhere to build the Great Wall. He came to escape. They fell in love at first sight because they escaped from the government to arrest people. They got married with the consent of their parents. But not long after, Fan Xiliang was taken to the north to build the Great Wall.

Meng Jiangnv was preoccupied with Fan Xiliang and wanted to send him cotton-padded clothes, so she set off. She walked around the clock for three days and two nights, rested in a broken shop and walked for ten days and ten nights. Finally, she reached the place where the Great Wall was built. She quickly asked a man who said that Fan Xiliang was dead and his body was buried at the foot of the city. Jiang Meng burst into tears. She cried for three days and nights, and a section of the Great Wall collapsed, revealing Fan Xiliang's bones.

Commemoration of future generations:

Xinxiang City has Meng Jiangnv River, Meng Jiangnv Road and Meng Jiangnv Bridge. In memory of her, later generations built the Notre Dame Temple, commonly known as Meng Jiangnv Temple. Mengjiangnv Temple is the first batch of 5A-level scenic spots in China and a famous cultural relic tourist attraction. 1956 was announced as the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in Hebei province.

From 65438 to 0993, a large-scale garden-style quadrangle building, Meng Jiangnv Garden, was built on the north side of Jiangnv Temple. Based on the folklore of Meng Jiangnu's thousands of miles to find her husband, relying on the palaces, laundry rooms, yamen, city walls, waterside pavilions and promenades with the architectural style of Qin and Ming dynasties, many scenes were built by using modern sound, light and electricity control technology, which vividly presented the historical legend of "Meng Jiangnu's search for her husband".

The state attaches great importance to the protection of intangible cultural heritage. On May 20th, 2006, the legend of Meng Jiangnv was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

In 2007, China Folk Writers and Artists Association awarded Shanhaiguan the "Hometown of Meng Jiangnv Culture in China" and "Meng Jiangnv Culture Research Center in China".
