Production Steps of Colored Mud jiaozi
Tool/material: a piece of plasticine.
1, take a piece of plasticine, divide it into appropriate sizes, and then put the divided plasticine in your palm to form a circle.
2. Hold a small round plasticine in your left hand and gently press the edge with your right hand to form a small disc with a thick middle and a thin edge, as shown in the figure.
3. Hold the pressed small sheet in your hand and gently pinch the opposite sides together with your right hand.
4. Gently pinch the plasticine on the right inner side. Then pinch the edge forward along the edge. Leave the surplus in the middle of jiaozi.
5. In the same step, gently pinch the two ends on the left of jiaozi. Plasticine jiaozi is ready.
6. Use plasticine, or you can wrap it in the shape of a steamed stuffed bun. There are pinch lines on the edge of jiaozi, and there are no restrictions on the form of jiaozi.
Characteristics of clay:
1, viscosity and plasticity
Clay has strong viscosity and plasticity. After adding water and stirring, it can be softened and molded into various shapes. Its plasticity makes it an ideal processing material, while its viscosity makes it possible to shape it without deformation.
2. Adsorption
Clay also has strong adsorption, which can absorb the surrounding water and other substances, thus maintaining stability during its molding process. It is precisely because of this property that artists can add various pigments and other materials when making clay into pottery and sculpture to make clay more colorful.
3. Smooth and delicate
The surface of clay is smooth and delicate, which enables it to achieve extremely high precision and fineness in molding and modeling. It shows a high degree of fineness, and can not only make simple sculptures, but also make complex utensils and building components.
4. Stability and durability
Pottery and buildings made of clay have excellent stability and durability, and are difficult to be destroyed even in extreme weather conditions. If properly installed and maintained, pottery and architecture can even be handed down from generation to generation.
