The geographical location of Shuangshimen

Shuangshimen is located in Weiyuan County. It is the intersection of two geological structural units, the edge of Longxi platform on the loess plateau and the western end of the west Qinling geosyncline, and is located at the junction of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Loess Plateau. Unique geographical location, unique topography, the evolution of thousands of years of civilization and profound cultural accumulation have created Weiyuan's unique and distinctive tourism resources. Weiyuan County is located in the central part of Gansu Province, southwest of Dingxi City, and is named after the Weishui River originating from Bird and Mouse Mountain. Shouyang County was established in Qin and Han Dynasties, and Weiyuan County was called in the Western Wei Dynasty. The intersection of the two geological structures, the edge of the Loess Plateau and the western end of the Qinling Mountains, is in a geographical position connecting the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Loess Plateau. It has a profound history and culture, and has created distinctive tourism resources and convenient transportation.

In recent years, Weiyuan County has opened the road for the development of 16 tourist attractions, equipped with the necessary infrastructure. 55 kilometers of new tourist roads, 7 bridges and water-crossing pavements, 6 kilometers of trails in Tianjingxia Scenic Area, 320 meters of gravel trails in Lianfeng Mountain Scenic Area, hardened tourist trails in Lianfeng Mountain and shouyangshan Scenic Area, maintenance of ancient buildings such as Bufamen, watchtower and Boyi Shu Qi statue, and addition of wind and wave-proof iron cables, Tianjingxia suspension bridge and Lianfeng Mountain fence. Since 1994, Gansu TV Station, Gansu Branch of Xinhua News Agency and Dingxi TV Station have successively produced four TV feature films, such as "Seeing the Infinite Scenery" and "Thinking about the Beautiful Courtyard Canyon", which were broadcast on CCTV 2, 4 and 7 programs and Gansu TV Station respectively. Two books, The Source of Wei Water and the Records of Lianfeng Mountain, were published, which comprehensively introduced the history, culture and tourism resources of Weiyuan, and a set of Weiyuan landscape postcards and a souvenir cover with a postmark were printed. 65438-0999, Weiyuan Tourism Resources Promotion Conference was held in Lanzhou Jincheng Hotel. On August 8, 2000, the promotion meeting of the tourism management right and tourism project transfer of Weiyuan Tianjingxia Scenic Area was successfully held in this hotel. At present, 28 private enterprises and travel agencies in and outside the province have contacted for consultation, investigation and negotiation. Around the Baling Bridge technology, we also developed vermilion mud crafts, root carving, medicinal materials processing, bracken and other small packaged wild vegetables, carpets and other local products. Lianfengshan National Resort with an investment of 6,543,800 yuan has been put into operation, and Yutai Mountain Villa and Shuangshimen Summer Resort with a total investment of nearly10 million yuan have started construction.
