Have you ever experienced smog days?

This is my second year in Chengdu. Every winter in Chengdu, there will be very serious haze weather. Sometimes the visibility is less than one meter. Seeing that the beginning of winter is about to begin, I We may have to endure the weird weather where we don’t know each other again.

As a northerner, I often hear others talk about how humid and nice the weather is in the south. But when I actually arrived in Chengdu, this so-called south disappointed me. The first point is humidity. When we first entered the school, our dormitory was on the first floor. It was so humid that the entire room exuded a musty smell.

I can tolerate the musty smell, but when I went home on the first weekend, I discovered a very serious problem. The sky in Chengdu was so gray that I couldn’t see the roads clearly. So we often see traffic accidents like that in the news.

In my impression, Chengdu is a very cultural city, which has been confirmed by me, but its weather is really unflattering. The three seasons of spring, summer and autumn are slightly better. As soon as winter comes, Chengdu is like being in heaven with clouds and mist.

Other people say that Chongqing is a foggy city, but I think Chengdu is not much worse than Chongqing. At the beginning, I had pharyngitis and other diseases caused by the haze, and I had to take medicine all winter. My mother felt very regretful that she should not have let me go to school in Chengdu.

I am about to go out for an internship in my second year, and my mother has prepared all the equipment for me, such as some anti-smog masks, thermos cups, etc. Even when I go out, my mother doesn't trust me to take a car out. She always warns me to pay attention to safety. All of these are caused by the smog weather in Chengdu.

As soon as winter comes every year, my uncle will take the whole family back to our hometown in Anhui. Although the winter in the north will be dry and cold, it will not cause harm to the body. Here in Chengdu Although this city has a long history and a very rich cultural heritage, these are really nothing compared to people's health.

Finally, I hope people will drive as little as possible when going out and choose buses or walking, so as to leave more blessings to our future generations. None of us want to have this kind of hazy weather, but to really do this we need to take practical actions.
