Juyanhai is the tail end of the Heihe River, the second largest inland river in my country. It is located 50 kilometers north of Ejina Banner, less than 30 kilometers from the China-Mongolia border, and on the northwest edge of the Badain Jaran Desert. The word Juyan originated from the name of a nomadic tribe during the Xiongnu period, meaning "Heavenly Lake". There are many poems about Juyan in historical records, such as "The desert is flat and the sand is bordered by the blue sky. Juyanhai was once a stage for my country’s ethnic minorities to stage historical dramas.
