What are the effects of the on time, off time, storage time, rise time and fall time of the transistor on the switching circuit?

The turn-on time, turn-off time, storage time, rise time and fall time of triode are related to the manufacturing cost. These times are required to be shorter, which will increase the difficulty of the manufacturing process and thus increase the cost. But you can't extend these hours at will.

If the on time, off time, storage time, rising time and falling time of the transistor increase, it will have a great influence on the switching circuit. Generally speaking, its influence mainly includes two aspects: first, it will affect the working timing accuracy of the switching circuit, and the control time will be prolonged (the on-off time is unavailable and the on-off time is continuous), which may lead to the control circuit failing to meet the design index.

If these times are prolonged, the loss of the switch tube will increase or even burn, which is more important and fatal. Because the voltage drop of the switch tube is very small when it is required to be turned on, the current flowing through the tube is also very small when it is turned off. That is to say, it can't work in amplification state (or in amplification state for a short time). If it is in the amplification state, when it is turned on, a large current flows in the tube, and the pressure drop of the tube is large, so the loss of the tube is also large (so the ordinary amplification circuit requires the tube to have a certain power limit).

When the switch tube works, the transition from the on state to the off state or from the off state to the on state must go through the amplification state. Therefore, the requirements for the switch tube include "opening, closing, storing, rising and falling time". When these indicators can't be reached, the time for the pipeline to be enlarged in the working process will be prolonged, thus increasing the loss of the pipeline, and even burning the pipeline in serious cases. This is the main reason why ordinary triodes cannot be used in switching circuits.
