There is rain, snow and lightning on the earth, so do other stars in the universe have weather changes?
In fact, some planets will also rain and wind, and there will be clouds, storms or thunderstorms. But the composition of rain or clouds is very different from that of the earth. It is not water vapor, but mostly dangerous chemicals or mixtures.
Mercury is one of the eight planets. It is closest to the sun, so the temperature is quite high. There are large and small volcanoes on the surface of Mercury, and the ground temperature can reach nearly 4 10 degrees when the sunlight is direct.
At such a high temperature, there are no animals and plants living here, and there is no atmosphere here, which is close to a vacuum environment. Scientists speculate that mercury cannot form cumulonimbus clouds, so naturally there is no precipitation, and the weather system on earth will not appear on mercury.
Mars is a special planet. It is the most similar planet to the earth among the eight planets. Mars is surrounded by a foggy atmosphere. Several countries, including China, have sent probes to Mars. Photos sent back from Mars show that Mars is now full of deserts and rocks.
In winter, the sky above Mars will be covered with carbon dioxide clouds, and most deserts will be covered with a layer of frost. The most similar weather on Mars and on Earth is full of fog.
At present, NASA's Mars probe has found organic molecules in a crater and river bed remains in many areas, which indicates that rivers once appeared on the surface of Mars, but they disappeared many years ago and billions of years ago. The atmosphere of Mars is much thicker than it is now, and the precipitation is very large.
Venus is close to the earth and the clouds are thick. Lightning can often be seen shuttling back and forth in the clouds, and the line of sight of Venus probe launched by human beings is often blocked by its thick clouds.
For a long time, scientists once thought that there was life on Venus, and Venus under the clouds might be a planet with lush vegetation and abundant precipitation. But now astronomers know through exploration that Venus is not a gas planet, but is made of rocks, but the temperature can reach 485 degrees, which is not suitable for living things at all.
It will rain on Venus, but it is acid rain. Its thick cumulonimbus clouds are full of sulfuric acid, and the sulfuric acid raindrops don't even touch the ground when they drop from the clouds. At such a high temperature, acid rain drops have evaporated and returned to the atmosphere before falling to the ground.
Long ago, Jupiter almost became a star. Although defeated in the contest with the sun, it still has a place among the eight planets. Jupiter is a neighbor of Mars, but its environment is very different from that of Mars. It is a gaseous planet, mainly composed of hydrogen and helium.
Jupiter, which is made up of a lot of gas, actually contains a solid metal core. Jupiter's aura surrounds Jupiter like a colorful cloud. Jupiter's rings are composed of water vapor and ammonia ice, and have a pungent smell similar to urine.
There are often big storms, thunderstorms, heavy rains or hail on Jupiter's surface. The composition of Jupiter's raindrops or hail is not water but ammonia. When it meets hydrogen, it becomes a gas and dissipates.
Similar to Jupiter, Saturn is also a gaseous planet, but the most common weather in Saturn is thunderstorms. Voyager has detected thunderstorms around Saturn, affecting about 57,000 kilometers.
Uranus is also a gas planet with thick methane clouds on its surface, which is much more spectacular than the cumulonimbus clouds on the earth. Liquid methane keeps falling from the sky, but it will vaporize quickly during the falling process.
